(CS-080) Treatment of a recurrent pilonidal cyst and sinuses with novel acellular fragmented fish skin graft
Introduction: This case will describe the treatment of reccurent pilonidal disease with flap clousre augmented by the use of a fragmented acellular fish skin graft
Methods: Use of a fragmented acellular fish skin graft at the time of surgical resection of the patients reccurent pilonidal disease that was previously resected
Results: Patient was healed after one application of the graft and remains healed at 6 months follow up This provided excellent scar cosmesis and reduced pain as compared to previous treatments that the patient had recieved for this condition
Discussion: This 7x5 cm wound was healed with one application of this novel graft and was easy to apply with excellent cosmesis, pain control and provided a durable repair without reccurence at 6 mos follow up Photos will be included at initial presentation , in the o.r and post op at multiple time points
