Introduction: A patient presented with a chronic wound. He was found to have osteomyelitis on MRI. He was treated with surgical resection and minocycline IV. He developed discoloration to his legs and feet.
Methods: A review of his medications and the literature revealed that this is a less common side effect of the medication.
Results: Initially, when his happened, nursing had been concerned about gangrene. After education of the staff, this was found to be a less common side effect.
Discussion: We are submitting this poster to make people more aware of this side effect as it can mimick gangrene, cellulitis, or venous stasis changes.
